We sponsor local events and transportation to the Sunday afternoon Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Masterworks and Pops series concerts in Little Rock. A list of theses events is below with links to register or purchase tickets. All Guild ticket sales are non-refundable.  If you purchased tickets to a program at the Woodlands and find you can't attend, please contact the Woodlands Ticket office so they can help match you with someone on the waiting list for tickets.  If you lost your tickets or did not receive your tickets for an event at the Woodlands, please contact the Woodlands Ticket office.  The ticket office email address is woodlandsaud@hsvpoa.org and the phone number is 501-922-4231.  If the program is not at the Woodlands, please contact us at info@symphonyguild.org for assistance.

    The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild is pleased to conclude its 2025–2026 Classic Concert Series with The John Williams–Steven Spielberg Collaborations: A Film Music Lecture/Performance by Members of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

    Arkansas Symphony Orchestra music librarian, violinist, and String Academy faculty member Dr. Geronimo Oyenard has created a special lecture-performance featuring his original arrangements for string quartet to celebrate over 50 years of the unique partnership between composer John Williams and director Steven Spielberg. The presentation will combine a live performance of many of John Williams’ most famous themes with Dr. Oyenard’s commentary on the music and films of these legendary artists. The performance will be enhanced by a projection of the corresponding film clips shown on multiple overhead screens.

    The program will take place on Sunday, May 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Way, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

    “Salute to Service — The 106th Army Band in Concert
    Honoring Veterans & America at 250”

    The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild will present “Salute to Service — The 106th Army Band in Concert Honoring Veterans & America at 250” on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 275 Asturias Drive in Hot Springs Village. (This date is tentative and subject to change until after August 31, 2026.)

    The concert is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested to assist the Guild in planning the complimentary reception following the performance. Guests may register through symphonyguild.org or by scanning the QR code featured on promotional materials.

    This special patriotic concert commemorates both Veterans Day and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The combined observance of these two historic milestones creates a rare and especially meaningful opportunity to honor military service while celebrating America’s history, ideals, and civic traditions through live musical performance.

    Performed by the 106th Army Band of the Arkansas National Guard, the program will feature patriotic, ceremonial, and traditional concert selections celebrating military service, national heritage, and the enduring role of music in civic life and national unity. Known for performances throughout Arkansas and the surrounding region, the 106th Army Band represents the professionalism, discipline, public service, and musical excellence of the United States Army and Arkansas National Guard.

    Please join us at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church for a recital on Sunday, February 7, 2027 at 3 pm. The HS/HSV Symphony Guild is pleased to bring you Johannes Brahms's Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8 performed by violinist and Concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Kiril Laskarov and cellist and Rockefeller Quartet member Jacob Wunsch. There will be a reception following the concert in Hoffius Hall at the church.

    Kiril Laskarov is in his 23rd season as Concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. A native of Bulgaria, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State Academy of Music in Sofia and a Master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he studied with Prof. Michael Barta. Laskarov has appeared as a soloist with the Arkansas Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Conway (AR) Symphony, Southern Illinois Symphony, Abilene (TX) Philharmonic, Symphony Irvine (CA) and Texarkana (TX) Symphony and also as a concertmaster with the Monroe (LA) Symphony and McCall (ID) Festival Orchestra and assistant concertmaster with the Evansville (IN) Philharmonic and Scottsdale (AZ) MusicFest Orchestra. Laskarov presented the world premiere of the Double Concerto for Two Violins by Michael Fine (2017) with the Arkansas Symphony and the Double Concerto for Violin and Cello (2018) by Jacob Tews with the Southern Illinois Symphony. He is scheduled to perform the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra in September 2021.

    Cellist Jacob Wunsch joined the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Rockefeller Quartein the fall of 2019. Actively involved in orchestral performance, chamber music, and music education, he has made concert appearances across the United States and Europe. His accomplishments include 1st prize in both the inaugural Briggs Chamber Music Competition and the ASTA (American String Teachers Association) Competition. He has served as section cellist most recently with the Ann Arbor Symphony, as well as the Evansville Philharmonic and the Owensboro Symphony. He has performed across the US, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and France.

    A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Wunsch began cello studies at age four and his teachers at university have included Eric Kim, Richard Aaron, Michel Strauss, Jan Ype Nota, and Roger Regter. He received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Indiana University and the University of Michigan respectively. Through fellowship grants he has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, and the Garth Newel Music Center.

    Wunsch has also received a full tuition scholarship to attend the Koninklijk Conservatory in The Hague, The Netherlands for graduate studies, where he received his second Master of Music degree as well as Artist Certificate. Among performance and study, he conducted research and the transcription of works for the purpose of providing professionals and students alike with an expanding range of quality repertoire for cello ensemble.

    Wunsch is a dedicated cello educator and attends teaching workshops.

    The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild is delighted to close its 2026–2027 Classic Concert Series with the artist who began its 2025-2026 season, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra musician Dr. Andrew Stadler (trumpet) and his newly-formed brass quintet. The program will be performed on Sunday, April 11, 2027 at 3:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines (275 Asturias Drive). General admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased at symphonyguild.org (your email confirmation serves as your ticket) or at the door. The concert will last approximately one hour and will be followed by a meet-and-greet with the artists.

    About the Artists

    Dr. Andrew Stadler is a versatile trumpet teaching artist active throughout the state of Arkansas. He is equally comfortable as a soloist, chamber musician, or in an orchestra and has performed throughout the United States and internationally, including concerts at Carnegie Hall and Kansas City's Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

    Dr. Stadler currently serves as Adjunct Professor of High Brass at the University of Arkansas—Fort Smith where he teaches applied trumpet and horn lessons, as well as the Adjunct Instructor of Trumpet at the University of Arkansas—Little Rock. He has a wide variety of experience teaching trumpet to students of all ages. Dr. Stadler worked for several years with the Music in Schools Initiative at the Yale School of Music, providing one on one and group instruction to students throughout the New Haven Public School System, as well as coaching chamber groups. In 2017, he was recognized for his work in the Music in Schools Initiative with the prestigious Malcolm L. Mitchell and Donald M. Roberts, Class of 1957 Prize for Outstanding Graduating Teaching Artist. From 2018 until 2023 he was the Trumpet Instructor at the Kansas City School of Music. In addition to teaching at UAFS and UALR, Dr. Stadler maintains a private studio, offering both in-person and online instruction, and he provides clinics and masterclasses for schools at all levels.

    Currently Dr. Stadler holds the positions of second trumpet with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. He is a former member of the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, Des Moines Symphony, Fountain City Brass Band, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and with Aretha Franklin on her final tour in 2017.

    Dr. Stadler was a member of the award-winning Volker Brass Quintet during his studies at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory. With Volker Brass he competed in the finals of the MTNA National Chamber Winds Competition in 2018 and 2019, placing third in 2018, and in 2019 Volker won the American Brass Quintet Prize for Outstanding Brass Ensemble in the Senior Winds and Brass Division at the Fischoff Competition after advancing to the semifinal round.

    Andrew holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri—Kansas City Conservatory, a Master of Music from the Yale School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Alabama. His primary teachers include Keith Benjamin, Allan Dean, and Eric Yates.
