Where fine music is a way of life!
Hot Springs Village is home to artists of all varieties, from vocalists to musicians, from painters to crafters to photographers, from actors to writers. Explore these many creative, visual and performing arts at the upcoming Showcase of the Arts 2015 set for Saturday, Oct. 3. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Ponce de Leon Center and Woodlands Auditorium, and is sponsored by the Hot Springs Village Arts Council and Ponce de Leon Center.
Listen to performances from local musicians throughout the day, and sample community theater, poetry and short story readings. Learn more about a variety of arts and handicrafts through multiple demonstrations.
Performances and demonstrations will include the following groups: Brush Strokes, Village Art Club, HSV Woodworkers, Hot Springs Flute Chamber Ensemble, Providence, Village Writers, Crystal Chimes Chorus, Village Big Band, HSV Men’s Chorus, the Village Chorale, and the Village Strings, and a special performance by ASO Principal Bassist Barron Weir and his student Juan Salamanca.
Melinda’s Coffee Corner will be dishing up breakfast and lunch items for purchase and a cash bar will also be available.
